Winter Is Here! With the onset of winter, special opportunities are afforded to the surveillance industry that are unique to the season. Factual Photo implements an operation yearly, specifically designed to take advantage of these opportunities. Our Snow Patrol program has a history of remarkable achievement in obtaining quality videotape of claimants engaged in a variety of snow-related activity. From shoveling to snowmobiling to cross-country skiing, our surveillance specialists have obtained countless hours of videotape of individuals involved in strenuous outdoor activities. With proper foresight and analysis, the Snow Patrol program is a cost-effective way to obtain surveillance results that could save you time and money. Don't let the cold weather deter you from this valuable opportunity. How Snow Patrol Assignments Work The program is designed specifically to capitalize on immediate snowfall. With your Snow Patrol assignment, our operatives will automatically proceed to your claimant's residence in the event of significant snow accumulation. Whether it snows overnight or during the day, your assignment has priority. We will quickly have one of our experienced investigators at your subject's residence prepared to document any snow removal or other outdoor activity he/she may engage in. And when your subject has completed any snow removal, we will end surveillance efforts at that time, if you so desire. Your specifications for the assignment will be met. Over the last five years, the Snow Patrol Program has proven itself to be a valuable tool in obtaining definitive videotape evidence that helped resolve questionable injury claims. The Snow Patrol program meshes surveillance efforts, weather conditions and individuals who are likely to engage in snow-clearing activities. While the intention is to document your subject's specific activities relative to removing snow and ice, often the videotape results show activity such as sledding, snowmobiling, snowball fights, ice skating, ice fishing or wood splitting. When there is a significant amount of snow on the ground, our surveillance specialists will automatically proceed to your designated Snow Patrol case. We will then establish surveillance efforts and document your subject's activities. If an individual other than the subject proceeds to clear the snow, we will consult you and terminate our surveillance efforts immediately. If it snows on the weekend, our investigators will document your subject until the snow removal is complete. These guidelines, along with the specifics of the weather, allow the program to be a low-risk, cost-effective way to obtain videotape results that can not be obtained any other time of year. You can study your claimant's past patterns of behavior and determine who would be most likely to engage in snow removal or snow-related activity. Some of the key indicators to identify a good candidate for assigning to Snow Patrol are: Individuals who reside in suburban locales Individuals who do their own yard work Individuals who have a history of outdoor activity Individuals who have large driveways or paved walkways Individuals who own snowmobiles or snow blowers Individuals who have log piles around their residences There are also claimants who are not likely candidates for Snow Patrol assignments. Some of the individuals you may want to exclude from consideration are: Individuals who reside in maintenance-free apartment complexes Individuals with gravel driveways and/or no porches or sidewalks To help you determine which individuals would be good candidates, Factual Photo will scout your claimants' residences at no charge* and provide you with our experienced analysis. We are currently analyzing past assignments and assessing which ones are likely candidates for snow patrol. Over the next month, we will contact you and advise you on which of your claims would best benefit from the program.
